Hi Edward,
Thank you for your nice words. We use Google Sketchup. I haven't used Vectorworks, although I have heard good things about it. I use DynaScpae and have considered purchasing their Google 3D add on because it does have a database of plants.

Hi Heidi, Love you garden designs and website - so relaxing to read through.
We are often engaged to do interior design projects mostly for hospitality and retail.
I am just getting my head around the whole 3D rendering aspect and was wondering what program you use? I was going to purchase Vector works because it has all the CAD capabilities but much cheaper and easier to learn. Also is there an on-line resource or library of plants? I'm getting tired of finding an image of plants and havinf to trace around every leave so i can impose it in the drawing!

Thanks and regards

Hi Jean,
The were not actual flowers, they are "flame pods" created by artist Robert Fairfax, inspired by skunk cabbage seed heads. Colorful and low maintenance :)
So glad you liked the garden!

Margaret, thank you for the hearfelt comments- they are much appreciated! It took a village to create it and we really did put everything we had into this garden, so hearing that it has made an impact on people like you makes it all worth it.
Thank you!

I am so happy to have found your website and learned a bit about the background to your display at the Flower and Garden Show. The beauty of your installation is a testimony to the love, care, and hard work that went into its creation. I was stunned at the concept and amazed at the realization of it; no other garden display at the show - ever - has moved me the way Peace and Solace did. I congratulate all of you who collaborated on it; you can be very proud! I thank you with my heart and soul. If I had a million dollars I would offer to buy the whole shebang but - I am a gardener...

Wow! Fascinating project, I can't wait to see the next phase. And yes, it is sounding like a daunting project but so worth it in the end I'm sure. I'll be attending the show so I will definitely visit you.
